A Gavel Club has been set up for students of Grades 8 to 12. A Gavels Club is similar to a Toastmasters Club in all respects except that the club members are below 18.Toastmasters International is a world leader in communication and leadership development. Gavel Club members improve their speaking and leadership skills by regularly giving speeches, gaining feedback, leading teams and guiding others to achieve their goals in a supportive atmosphere. Through a community of learners, students find their path to leadership. These clubs empower individuals to become more effective communicators and leaders.Mr. T M Saadi of the English Department, who has successfully run gavels clubs in various schools in Hyderabad, is the mentor of this club. He is not only a founder member of HTM (Hyderabad Toastmasters Club) but also its first official mentor.
Glendalites Set Up and Promote Butterfly Gardens
A Butterfly Garden has been set up in the senior block to create awareness about the need to have butterflies--this beautiful and ecologically useful species--thrive on our campus. Glendalites along with their science faculty Ms Radhika Chintalapati met the Deputy Chief Minister in this regard and he assured them that Butterfly Gardens will be set up in various government office premises and institutions.
